Southern Exposure: 5 Brazilian Artists
Over the past several decades, Aspen has attracted a strong contingent of skiing and art enthusiasts from Brazil. This January, we welcome back our Brazilian friends with a ground breaking show of artists they know, love and have shared with the world. The show entitled Southern Exposure: 5 Brazilian Artists, opened January 15th and continues through February 15th, featuring works by Leda Catunda, Mila Mayer, Beatrice Milhazes, Daniel Senise and Vik Muniz. Brazil’s booming contemporary art scene has more than its fair share of talented painters and influential photographers—these five compatriots are ample proof. Great style, lively color and a carnival atmosphere heats up our coldest month – transforming the gallery yet again and bringing a bit of Brazil’s lively culture to Aspen this winter for all of us to admire and celebrate.
