Artist, poet, short story writer and essayist, Etel Adnan’s career spans more than six decades and encompasses a wide range of media—in the visual arts she has focused on painting, tapestry and printmaking. Informing her writing and later her artwork is the landscape. Seeking to represent the physical beauty she sees in nature, the artist executes her paintings and prints with clear, confident strokes and bold nuanced colors.
