Ed Ruscha’s New Collection at Galerie Maximillian

As one of the pioneers in the Pop Art Movement, Ed Ruscha, along with Andy Warhol, Jim Dine, and Wayne Thiebaud and others, defined a generation, capturing the symbols of American life on paper and canvas, while merging the worlds of high art and popular culture.

Ed Ruscha remains relevant today by continually commenting on life through his art. His richly colored lithographs “Wall Rocket” (2015) and “Sponge Puddle” (2015) place their enigmatic titles across vivid mountain backgrounds, evoking a time that is both timeless and futuristic.
